The City of Augusta reserves the right to waive all informalities in RFSBS, to accept any RFSB, or any portion thereof, or to reject any or all RFSBS should it be deemed in its best interest to do so. Except as otherwise required by law or as specifically provided to the contrary herein, the award of this RFSB shall be governed by the City's purchasing ordinance. Scope of Services Overview The City of Augusta/Augusta Civic Center is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to replace exhaust fans in its public restrooms. The public restrooms included in this project are located throughout the Augusta Civic Center Main Building, spanning three (3) floors, but exclude the two restrooms in the main lobby that have already been replaced. The remaining bathrooms include Men and Womens restrooms located on the 1 st level South and North Lobbies, Men & Womens restrooms located on the 2 nd level South and North Lobbies, and Men & Womens restrooms located on the 3 rd level South and North Lobbies, totaling 12 restrooms. This bid shall include all labor, materials, equipment, and installation necessary to complete the work, including but not limited to the purchase and installation of new exhaust fans, and all required components and hardware to complete the project to meet code compliance. Where cost-effective and compliant with applicable requirements, repair of existing exhaust fans shall be considered prior to full replacement in order to maintain consistency with the Civic Centers infrastructure while still ensuring full code compliance and proper operation. Bidders shall also include in their pricing all costs associated with any subcontracted or third-party vendor work required to complete this project in full, including but not limited to electrical work or upgrades, finishing work, masonry, or other specialty trades necessary for proper installation, repair, and operation of the restroom exhaust fans. The use of subcontractors shall not result in additional cost to the City beyond the bidders submitted price unless approved in writing by the City of Augusta/Augusta Civic Center.
