Site work, paving and new construction of a fire / police facility in Key West Nas, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; and for paving for a fire / police facility.
The work includes constructing a complete fire pump station system to be owned and operated by the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority (FKAA) at NAS Key West in Boca Chica. The project includes, but is not limited to: furnishing and installing a prefabricated pumping station; building an elevated structural building with deep foundations; installing an elevated aboveground fuel tank and elevated transformer; providing a stand-by generator; all electrical work needed to supply the fire pump station and its components; installing all water suction/supply pipelines and making connections to ground storage tanks; utility relocations; all required testing and commissioning of the system; constructing new pavement and sidewalk site improvements; and completing all other work required for a complete project in accordance with the contract documents and drawings. Bidders must submit proposals electronically on the prescribed form, accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than 5 percent of the bid. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder submitting the lowest compliant proposal, considering any alternates accepted by FKAA. The successful bidder will be required to provide any additional performance bonds required by the contract documents. All surety and insurance documents must be executed by qualified entities licensed in the State of Florida. The successful bidder must hold or obtain all required contractor and business licenses according to State Statutes. FKAA reserves the right to reject any or all proposals in its best interest and to waive informalities and irregularities in bids.
