The City of Vancouver (the “City”) is seeking expressions of interest (“Expressions of Interest”) from vendor groups or teams indicating their interest in presenting their qualifications to perform the role of General Contractor for the construction of a new Animal Shelter at 1210 Glen Drive to replace the existing shelter at 1280 Raymur Avenue. Based on the outcome of this RFEOI, a number of General Contractors will be shortlisted and invited to respond to an Invitation to Tender (“ITT”) for the construction of the Sunset Seniors Centre Building. The building structure will include steel and mass timber, with foundations including series of piles, concrete grade beams, and concrete slab on grade. The animal shelter will be 2 levels: Level 1: Limited Public Area: Entrance Lobby, Meet + Greet Room, and Vertical Circulation. Staff Facilities; Reception, Animal Food Preparation, Laundry, Support, Storage, and Offices. 40 units of Dog Kennels including interior and exterior spaces, arranged for adoption, impound, seizure and isolation purposes. Service Areas; Electrical, Mechanical, and Water Entry Rooms, Exterior Recycling, PMT and Generator spaces. Level 2: Limited Public Area; Reception, Waiting Lounge, and Vertical Circulation. Staff Facilities; Meeting Room, Open-Plan and Cellular Offices, Staff Dining, Support Spaces, Washrooms and Locker facilities. Exterior: Public landscaped entrance plaza, enclosed landscape courtyards, seizure dog runs and pet relief areas. Receiving and Parking Yards accessed from William Street. The City seeks Expressions of Interest from Respondents who have expertise in general contractor, including the following: 1. Experience within the City of Vancouver; and 2.
