The project consists of the on-site installation of four (4) pre-manufactured shade structures that have already been procured by the District and permitted through the Division of the State Architect (DSA). This is a public works project. Contractors should use prevailing wage to determine the labor costs. Contractors and subcontractors must have a DIR registration number. Each bid must be submitted with a Bid Bond executed by the bidder and Surety Company, or certified check, or cashier's check or cash, in an amount equal to 10% of the bid. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a separate Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price, and each issued by a California-admitted surety. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding process. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of 90 days after the date set for bid opening.
