Site work and new construction of a civil project in Okeechobee, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of furnishing labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of a wastewater Force Main as described in the Drawings and Specifications. The work includes construction of a vacuum sewer collection system, including vacuum main, pits, and service laterals. It also includes the construction of a complete vacuum pump station with required appurtenances, such as sitework, building, mechanical, and electrical components as shown in the Construction Plans. Road and driveway crossings and related restoration are also part of the project scope. Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to Okeechobee Utility Authority, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid. The bid form must be filled in completely and accurately, especially for alternate bid items. The successful bidder must provide additional bonds for the faithful performance of the Contract, as prescribed in the Contract Documents. All bonds and insurance documents must be executed or countersigned by a licensed resident agent of the surety or insurance company in the State of Florida. The successful bidder must also hold or obtain the necessary Contractors' and Business Licenses as required by State Statutes. The Owner/Engineer may investigate the performance record and ability of the apparent low bidder before awarding the contract. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities in the bid, reject any or all proposals not conforming to the contract documents, and to postpone the contract award for up to forty-five days from the bid opening date.
