The City of Doniphan is seeking separate sealed bids for the purchase and installation of four warning sirens to be located across town within the city limits. Two sirens will replace existing systems, and two will be additional. The project must be bid as a full project on a lump sum basis. The contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder. Bids must be marked as Doniphan City Warning Sirens, submitted in a sealed envelope, and hand-delivered or mailed to the specified address. Bids over $100,000 must include a bid guarantee equivalent to 5% of the bid amount, secured by a bid bond or certified check. Labor costs exceeding 12% of equipment costs will be subject to the Davis Bacon wage law and contractors must pay the highest applicable wage. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities or reject any or all bids. The City of Doniphan is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer and encourages MBE, WBE, and Section 3-DBE bidders to participate.
