Site work for a municipal facility in Gainesville, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.

Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) is seeking proposals from premier security fencing contractors for the installation of a comprehensive perimeter defense system at the GRU Administration Building. The project aims to upgrade the physical security to protect critical personnel, administrative assets, and regional utility data, following two professional security vulnerability assessments. The objectives are to create a robust, professionally aesthetic, and technologically integrated physical barrier that deters unauthorized entry, ensures operational continuity under elevated threat levels, integrates with existing electronic access control systems, and secures the headquarters' grounds, including executive parking and high-value infrastructure points. The project is for a multi-service utility provider owned by the City of Gainesville, serving approximately 100,000 retail and wholesale customers in the area with electric, natural gas, water, wastewater, and telecommunications services. Question Deadline 03/09/2026 at 4:00 PM ET Respondents shall submit all inquiries regarding this bid via GRU e-Procurement Portal, located at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/GRU. Please note the deadline for submitting inquiries: 4:00 pm on Monday, March 9, 2026. The selected vendor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the installation of a perimeter security system as follows: Fencing Infrastructure: Installation of approximately 6-foot high black aluminum industrial-grade fencing around the designated property perimeter. Custom Gates: Design and installation of four (4) custom-built gates tailored to provide secure vehicular access to the employee parking lots. Four pedestrian gates must be constructed to allow sidewalk access. All gates must be lockable via padlock. Access Control Hardware: Supply and installation of two (2) new high-cycle barrier arms and a commercialgrade card reader pedestal at the primary drive-through entrance. Exit will be via ground loop detection. System Integration: All automated gates, barrier arms, and readers must be fully compatible and integrated with the existing Lenel OnGuard access control platform. Technical Compliance: Vendors are responsible for ensuring all electrical and data connections for the barrier arms and readers meet manufacturer specifications for seamless communication with the Lenel headend
