The work includes excavation, cold in-place recycling, fabric, asphalt intermediate course, asphalt surface course, mastic chip seal, and related items. All work under this contract must be completed by August 28, 2026. Bidders must submit a bid bond for the full amount of the bid or a certified check, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. Online bidders must submit original documentation within 3 days of bid opening. All online bidders must submit an original Form of Non-collusion Affidavit within 3 days of bid opening for the bid to be considered complete. No bidder may be listed on the Auditor of State's Database as having a "Finding of Recovery." The successful bidder must execute the contract within ten (10) days after award and furnish acceptable bond or surety for the faithful performance of the contract in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. Each bid must contain the full name of every person or company interested. Employees on the project must be paid prevailing wage rates for public improvements as provided by the appropriate Sections of the Ohio Revised Code. The Board of Lake County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to increase, decrease, or omit any item or items and/or to award to the lowest and/or best bidder.
