The City of Dayton, Department of Water, is seeking proposals from experienced and professional engineering consultants or teams to design an expansion of the capacity of the South Miami Well Field. The work includes siting and designing four new production wells and a pipe network to connect the new wells to an existing raw water main. The design also requires a new air stripper complex to reduce volatile organic compound (VOC) levels, and modifications to restore the existing Relift Pump Station for water transfer to the Miami Water Treatment Plant. The scope includes civil, mechanical, chemical, and electrical engineering tasks, with project management and ongoing coordination with Dayton Water. Proposals should detail the consultant's qualifications, experience, and project approach, as well as specific tasks required to execute the project. Consultants must prepare a project schedule, maintain a secure project online accessible to City staff, and meet all permitting requirements, including those of the Ohio EPA. Design work must follow all relevant regulations and involve hydrogeologic investigations for well siting. Other project elements include demolition of the existing air stripper system, design of new pumping and chemical feed systems, and installation of a sanitary line for wastewater conveyance.
