Title I & II architect-engineer services are required to plan, design, and prepare construction documents for the Rehabilitation of Buzzard Point Park within Anacostia Park. Work includes conducting a full site investigation and assessment, delivering draft and final reports, completing a geotechnical survey, and developing two original design alternatives using the existing environmental assessment and 30% schematic design materials. The contractor must evaluate the feasibility of implementing a Living Shoreline treatment in place of a hardened shoreline and assess options for incorporating a restroom facility either within the existing PEPCO building or as a standalone structure. Responsibilities also include facilitating two half-day stakeholder workshops, conducting a mini value analysis study and preparing the associated report, identifying and preparing submission requirements for local and state permits, and preparing and presenting required submissions for Commission of Fine Arts and National Capital Planning Commission concept and preliminary reviews. The contractor must also prepare Class A, B, and C cost estimates and deliver complete construction documents including drawings, specifications, bid schedules, product cut sheet documentation, construction schedules, and submittal lists. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
