Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Buffalo, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water pump station.

The University at Buffalo seeks bids for the in-kind replacement of an existing condenser water pump at the Baker Chilled Water Plant. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the following: removal of the existing pump head and transport to the contractor’s facility; refurbishment including blasting to bare metal and applying NSF 61–approved PPG epoxy coating; supplying and installing a new stuffing box bearing and shaft sleeve; providing all new hardware for reassembly; furnishing and installing a Hydroflo factory bowl assembly, column, and shaft onto the refurbished pump head; leveling and grouting the pump to the existing base; and delivering the fully assembled pump to the plant. The replacement pump must fit the exact footprint of the existing installation, and the contractor is responsible for verifying all dimensions and performing any necessary field modifications, including piping changes, to ensure proper system connection. All such remediations must be included in the bid price. The bid price must be lump sum and cover all labor, materials, coatings, equipment, shipping, field work, remediations, and testing.
