The project is for the 2026 Summit County Chipping Program. Work includes collecting wood piles throughout Summit County, chipping them on site, and hauling the chipped material to the Summit County Resource Allocation Park (SCRAP). Landowner-prepared wood piles will be located along roadways within the Summit County service areas, and their removal is the responsibility of the contractor. Sticks and debris must be blown or swept away to keep roadways clear. The program goal is the complete removal of all wood pile material to support wildfire prevention. The Summit County Board of County Commissioners retains the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities or informalities, and to conduct investigations or negotiations as deemed necessary to select the most responsible and responsive proposal.
