The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, transportation, equipment, and materials to demolish and repair the entrance slab at MLGW's Substation 11 located at 290 East Mallory Dr., Memphis, TN 38109. Interested bidders must attend a mandatory site visit. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by Title 62, Chapter 6, of the Tennessee Code Annotated. The required Tennessee Contractors Classification for this project is BC or BC-21, or any Tennessee-approved contractors license applicable to the project. The contractors license monetary limits must meet or exceed the contractors bid price. All sealed bids, bid bonds, bidders qualifications, and completed bid envelopes, in duplicate, must be received by the Contracts Management Office by the stated date and time. Electronic submissions will not be accepted; only hard copies of the bid documents will be accepted. The required documentation and information must be completed on the outside of the preprinted bidder's envelope. Bidders must submit qualifications by reference letter indicating the contract number and title. Before execution of the contract, the successful bidder must furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the bid price, and a contractors labor and materials payment bond of no less than 25% of the bid price. All contract bonds must be written through a surety company authorized to do business in Tennessee. Failure to comply with any of the requirements or attend the mandatory site visit will deem a bidder unqualified to bid on this project.
