Alton Township is advertising for gravel, summer maintenance, and snow blading. All bids for crushed gravel must be on a per ton basis with a five mile haul included in the price, with a clear explanation of each additional mile cost. Belly dump trucks are required except for delivery to culverts and washouts. Summer maintenance blading needs to begin within a 24-hour period after being notified. Snow blading bidders must be able to plow on weekends. Only sealed bids will be accepted. All bidders must send a document to the Township Clerk providing proof of a $1 million per incident and $2 million aggregate liability insurance.
