Renovation of a municipal facility in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 52,850-square-foot municipal facility.
Reference Number 0000412972 Bid Intent Not Available The purpose of this Request For Proposal (RFP) and accompanying specifications are to provide instructions and assistance in submitting a Proposal response to provide all labor and materials for the Routt County Courthouse North Entry Restoration to be completed by August 15, 2026. The objective is to have a fully executed Routt County construction contract by April 4, 2026. Work is expected to begin in spring 2026 with completion during the summer. The project involves full demolition and replacement of the deteriorated entry on the north side of the building. The existing concrete steps and brick façade have failed due to freeze and thaw cycles and moisture infiltration, making replacement necessary. Routt County, together with a historic preservation consultant and local architect, has developed a redesign based on the original 1921 drawings. The new entry will replicate the historic steps and incorporate a covered roof to improve safety and weather protection. In-kind materials are specified wherever feasible to maintain the courthouse's historical integrity. Question Deadline 03/04/2026 at 1:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online Yes, All questions must be received, in writing, before And shall be directed only through the online. Routt County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) reserves the right to reject any or all proposal responses and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in Proposal responses received, and to accept any portion of the Proposal response whichever is deemed to be in the best interest of Routt County. The project is located at 522 Lincoln Avenue and was built in 1923. It is a contributing resource to the Steamboat Springs Downtown Historic District and on the Routt County Register of Historic Places. The proposed work is for the historic restoration of the back entry at the rear of the building
