The work consists of the extension of City water main, electrical transmission main, and natural gas main installation in a corridor described as the corner of State Highway # 77 and County Road 'J', along and on the east side of State Highway # 77, continuing north and ending at Chestnut Street, with a total route length of approximately 18,000 feet. Proposals are to be submitted by unit prices, as an aggregate bid for the entire project. All proposals must be made on forms furnished by the Engineer and accompanied by bid security of not less than 5% of the amount bid. Bid security is payable to the Treasurer of the Wahoo Board of Public Works as liquidated damages if the bid is accepted and the bidder neglects or refuses to enter into contract and furnish a bond. Bidders are required to pay laborers and mechanics wages not less than those established by the U.S. Department of Labor, and to comply with federal requirements regarding disadvantaged business participation, Buy America provisions, and non-discrimination.
