Bids are requested for 0.20 miles of County Spec. 405 Intermediate Course on T.H. 690 Lang Farm Drive, 0.75 miles of ODOT Item 441 Mill & Asphalt Surface Course on T.H. 956 Argyle Lane and T.H. 957 McCarren Drive, and 5.82 miles of ODOT Item 422 Chip & Seal including repairs on various roads with stipulated Traffic Control on a total of 6.77 miles of roads in Granger Township, Medina County, Ohio. All bids must be submitted electronically through the web service at www.bidexpress.com. No contract shall be awarded at a price more than ten percent in excess of the Engineer's estimate. Each bidder shall be required to file a bid guaranty with the bid in the form of either a Bid/Performance Bond in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid; or a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Letter of Credit equal to 10% of the amount bid, conditioned that the bidder shall, if his bid is accepted, execute a contract in conformity with the bid, plans, details, specifications and bills of material. Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements detailed in the Bid Documents shall be required. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor. Compliance with the Equal Opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 is required. Bidders must comply with Prevailing Wage Rates on public improvements in Medina County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce and detailed in the Bid Documents. The bid will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. The Granger Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all bids.
