Description

Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Lexington, Kentucky. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a transportation facility; for the renovation of a transportation facility; for the demolition of a parking garage; warehouse / distribution facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.

Plans call for the demolition of the existing rental ready return parking facility and the existing U.S. Customs & Border Patrol, Delta Cargo, and Tex Sutton Facilities. Plans also call for the construction of an apron expansion, a new concourse with eight gates, and the renovation of decommissioned gate holdrooms. As of August 13, 2026, the project has awarded a program manager and is in conceptual planning. The solicitation for design is will be released on Monday, August 17th, 2026. General contractor selection timeline is unknown. A firm timeline has not been released.
