The Project consists of but not limited to: Remove existing wooden fence and install new 6 foot high white vinyl privacy fence at 8 South Warren Street and at the Bradford Terrace development located at 40 Greystone Ave. Use caution around existing trees, utilities, and abutter properties. Install tree protection and erosion control measures. Remove existing trees, stumps in way of new fence. Remove, clear, grub existing vegetation intertwined with fence. Minor associated site work. The work is estimated to cost $99,000.00. Locations- 8 South Warren Family (705-1) - 8 South Warren, Haverhill, MA 01832 Bradford Terrace (667-1) - South Webster Street, Haverhill, MA 01835 General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates) and made payable to the HAVERHILL HOUSING AUTHORITY. Note: A bid deposit is not required for Projects advertised under $50,000. The Contractor and all subcontractors (collectively referred to as "the Contractor") agree to strive to achieve minority and women workforce participation. The Workforce Participation benchmark is set at 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities. A. The Work under the Contract consists of: 1. All Work is either shown on the Drawings or included in the Specifications unless specifically indicated as not to be done. 2. The Project shall consist of, but not limited to: General Requirements o All work shall comply with Local, State, and Federal requirements and regulations. o Building entrances, sidewalks, and handicap parking spaces shall be MAAB and ADA compliant. o Sidewalks, drive aisle and parking spaces shall have maximum 4.5% running slope, maximum 1.5% cross slope. Protection & Erosion Control o Use caution around all vegetation, structures, and utilities to remain. o Protect existing trees to remain. o Protect existing fences to remain. Removals o Trim and clear existing vegetation. o Existing trees and stumps to be removed. o Remove existing fences. Improvements o Install new 6' high white vinyl fencing. o Tie new fencing to existing fencing. Landscaping & Restoration o Loam and hydroseed all disturbed and bare areas. Loam shall be clean of debris, rocks, and sticks. Hydroseed shall be free from weeds. o Mulch to be added if needed in landscape beds. B. In addition, the Work under the Contract includes: 1. Work outside the Project Site as called for in the Contract Documents and as required for the performance of the Work. 2. The restoration of any items damaged or destroyed by encroaching upon areas outside the Project Site. 3. Providing and restoring, where appropriate, all temporary facilities.
