This work is described as installation of a replacement 12-inch watermain and abandonment of the existing 8-inch watermain to include all incidental work quantities as described in the bid form. The contractor is expected to provide a fully functional watermain connecting Yaupon Street across SH 332 East in a safe and expedient manner in accordance with the construction plans. No bid may be withdrawn or terminated for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the opening date without the written consent of the Engineer. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond or a Certified or Cashier's Check upon a State or National Bank of the State of Texas in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total bid amount.
