Demolition, site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in California, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The work includes demolition of existing concrete and drainage pipe and installation of a new precast, concrete box culvert, approach roadway work, rock blanket, and incidental work in accordance with the plans and specifications. All bidders must purchase plans through Great River Engineering and be on the planholder list to bid. The contract requires payment of prevailing hourly rates for each craft or type of work as determined by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, adhering to the higher wage rates as specified by state or federal guidelines. All bidders must be on MoDOT’s Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, 2025, Third Edition, including all revisions, with the contractor questionnaire on file 7 days prior to bid opening. Contractors and subcontractors must provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty days of beginning work. A certified cashier’s check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% must be submitted with each proposal. The Moniteau County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and the project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. Businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.
