Site work and paving for a civil project in Eastvale, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The proposed work shall be performed in accordance with the plans, specifications and other contract documents and shall consist of the following: Pavement and Trench Removal: Removal of existing asphalt pavement, base materials, or other on-site elements as identified by the City or shown in the project documents. Excavation and Backfill: Excavation of existing storm drain trench backfill to the depths specified to address subsidence and moisture-related instability. Pavement Restoration: Replacing the structural section of the roadway, including Crushed Aggregate Base per Exhibit C, Section 10, and rubberized hot mix asphalt per Exhibit C, Section 11, to match existing City of Eastvale standards and restoring all disturbed traffic lanes to a safe, operable condition. Environmental and Safety Controls: Implementation of traffic control, erosion control, and dust mitigation measures during construction. Coordination: Coordinating with City staff, utility providers, Riverside County Fire Department as needed to establish an emergency vehicle access plan that ensures uninterrupted fire and emergency response, and other parties as required. Traffic Control Plan (TCP): The Contractor shall prepare, submit, and implement a TCP for review and approval by the City. The TCP shall ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians, and motorists, maintain emergency vehicle access at all times, and minimize disruption to local traffic and adjacent properties. The plan shall comply with applicable standards, regulations, and City requirements. The items listed above are intended to establish the overall nature of the project. Detailed technical specifications, material requirements, performance standards, and any additional direction needed to fully define the work will be provided in Exhibit A, which will govern all requirements, methods, and standards for the completion of the project. Contractors shall perform all tasks in accordance with the final plans, specifications, and applicable regulations. Additional related work may be required as specified in the Invitation for Bids (IFB) documents. The successful bidder must possess a current Class A Contractor's License issued by the State of California to cover all of the work to be performed. Prevailing wage requirements apply. Bidders are required to comply with all CARB and Regulation requirements for off-road diesel-fueled fleets and must provide valid Certificate of Reported Compliance (CRC) for themselves and all listed subcontractors with their bid.
