Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Howell, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Bids over the State threshold of $31,321 must be accompanied with either a certified cashier's check or a U.S. treasury listed security bond in the amount of 5% of the bid amount. Bids received without this guaranty will not be read or considered. Electronic scans of the cashier's checks are not accepted. All cashiers' checks must be delivered prior to the due date and time, and must be made payable to Howell Public Schools. Cashier's Checks will be returned to the bidder upon execution of the contract. All proposals shall be firm for a period of ninety (90) days. Successful bidders whose proposals are $50,000 or more will be required to furnish a Satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of their bid. The cost of the Bond shall be included in each proposal. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids in whole or in part, and to waive any informality therein. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept that bid which in its opinion is in the best interest of the Owner, or to award the contract to an alternate bidder other than the bidder(s) submitting the best financial Bid (low bidder) in its sole and absolute discretion.
