Site work for a water / sewer project in Lockport, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The project involves expanding the Division Street WWTP’s capacity to 6.2 MFD DAF, 17.1 MGD DMF, and a peak flow with excess flow (total capacity) of approximately 28.56 MGD. The work includes abandonment of the old North Treatment Train, installation of an enhanced aeration process with new blowers and controls, expansion of the chemical phosphorus removal system, modifications to the raw sewage pump station with new submersible pumps, removal and replacement of mechanical screening equipment, construction of a new secondary clarifier, expansion of the RAS/WAS Pump Station with a new control building, installation of a new aerobic digester diffusion system and blowers, modification of the North Plant Solids Handling Building for thickening and dewatering redundancy, construction of a new excess flow disinfection structure, repurposing of an existing final clarifier for excess flow, replacement of digester blowers in the existing building, provision of additional dewatered biosolids storage, and construction of a new administration building and main electrical service/feed, a new maintenance garage, as well as other miscellaneous items of work. Bidders are instructed to submit payment for plans and documents, and to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting.
