Scope of work includes asphalt paving, concrete curbs, storm structure repairs, earthwork, and miscellaneous site improvements. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Bank Draft in an amount equal to and not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid and made payable to Schaumburg School District 54. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date without the consent of the Owner. Successful Bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract, acceptable to the Owner. Bidders must submit the original and one copy of the completed bid on or before the specified closing time in an opaque sealed envelope, clearly marked SEALED BID - SUMMER 2026 SITE RENOVATIONS and addressed properly. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or waive any irregularities or informalities. All Bidders must comply with Illinois Law requiring payment of prevailing wages by all contractors working on public works. Each Bidder must satisfactorily complete the qualification process described in Section 010000-General Requirements of the Project Manual, by providing the required Qualification Documents, which must accompany the sealed bid. Failure to attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting shall result in the rejection of any bids submitted by those non-attending bidders/contractors. The company name registered must be the same as that of the company submitting the quotations. Requests for Interpretations: 1. Submit requests for interpretation of the documents in writing to the Architect. Inquiries received two or more days prior to the date fixed for opening of the Bids will be given consideration. 2. Responses to requests for interpretation will be issued as Addenda. Addenda will be issued to bidders of record. It is the responsibility of the bidders to check to be certain they have the issued Addenda.
