This project consists of improving drainage and adding sidewalks along Bayou Paul Lane as shown in the construction plans. Construction work generally includes removal and adding of driveways, excavation and embankment, sidewalks, drainage pipe, drainage structures, temporary traffic control, and other necessary items as shown on the plans. All bids must be submitted to the City of St. Gabriel in a sealed envelope marked BAYOU PAUL LN SIDEWALK & DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, including Louisiana Contractors license number and Construction Firm name, or submitted electronically via www.centralauctionhouse.com. All bidders are required to have an active license for Municipal and Public Works Construction from the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors prior to bidding. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Bid must accompany each Bid. A performance and payment bond for the work will be required upon execution of the contract, equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract, written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Minority and/or woman-owned business enterprises are strongly encouraged to participate.
