Renovation of a library in Big Spring, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
As of March 12, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Howard County, TX is accepting sealed bid proposals from qualified general contractors for renovation of the Howard County Library. Specifications and required submittal forms are available from the County Auditor's Office or their website. Eligible bids must be submitted on the provided form, properly identified as "Howard County Library Renovation" and received by the deadline at the County Auditor’s Office or submitted electronically. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept the bid deemed to serve its best interest. Bid unit price on quantity specified, extend and show total; in case of errors, unit price shall govern. Performance and payment bonds are required depending on contract value. Proof of required insurance must be provided before commencement. Bid prices must remain firm for 60 days. Bids may not be altered after opening and cannot be withdrawn without approval. Awards are based on the lowest and best bid meeting specifications. All items bid must be new unless otherwise specified. By signing the bid, the bidder certifies compliance with laws and regulations and affirms the bid’s authenticity.
