Site work and paving for a water / sewer project in Cheswick, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The scope of work consists of two contracts: - Contract A: Installation of approximately 1,550 lineal feet of 6" C900 PVC DR14 waterline and appurtenances, including valves, fire hydrant installation, water service line re-connections, and all temporary and permanent surface restoration (lawn, concrete sidewalk, and all necessary appurtenances and restoration for said construction). - Contract B: Roadway surface restoration and paving that includes the milling of 5,000 square yards of existing pavement, placement of 200 tons of 3/4" scratch, paving of 5,000 square yards of 9.5MM wearing course (1.5" depth), base repair, and all necessary traffic control and driveway access, with all required appurtenances and restoration for said construction. All bidders are required to purchase the Bid Documents in PDF format for a non-refundable deposit from QuestCDN. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided, accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Cheswick. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Procurement is subject to requirements of the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and The Public Works Employment Verification Act. Bidders are required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
