Flanagan-Cornell District 74 is inviting sealed bid proposals from interested and qualified parties for the Flanagan-Cornell AG Building Addition, located at 202 E Falcon Hwy, Flanagan, Illinois. The project includes construction of a pre-engineered wood building housing a wood and welding shop with an equipment mezzanine, two adjoining classrooms (one with student kitchen stations), office, storage, and multi-user restrooms. The building will be connected to the main school through a new stick-built metal stud corridor. Bidders must be properly licensed for their respective trades and able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the work. Bid security in the amount of five percent of the bid amount must be submitted with each bid. A performance bond, separate labor and material payment bond, and insurance acceptable to the owner will be required of the successful bidder. All contractors and vendors must observe the Fair Employment Practices Commission rules pertaining to equal employment opportunity and comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, using wage determination as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor.
