Renovation of a transportation facility in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

Sealed bids are being solicited for HVAC Renovations at the Transit Authority of Central Kentucky (TACK) Facility located at 1209 N. Dixie Highway, Elizabethtown, KY 42701. General contractors must register and attend one of the mandatory pre-bid meetings held on site. Bids will be received at a public meeting and opened and read aloud. No contact concerning the award of the contract may be made with any member of the TACK Board of Directors or any employee of TACK except for site visits and written technical questions scheduled through the Architect. It is TACK policy to ensure that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises have an equal opportunity to participate in DOT-assisted contracts and not to discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, creed, color, sex, age, disability, or sexual orientation in consideration for an award. TACK and Keyes Architects reserve the right to reject or accept any and all bids or waive any informality of any bids in the best interest of TACK. This project consists of a Davis-Bacon Act-compliant interior renovation and mechanical upgrade to an existing concrete masonry unit (CMU) building with concrete structural floors and concrete T-deck construction. All work shall be performed by a qualified General Contractor experienced in multi-trade coordination and occupied-space renovations. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, a major mechanical system overhaul, including the furnishing and installation of a new rooftop unit (RTU), associated ductwork, and an extended gas service. Work requires cutting and coring through existing floor and roof assemblies to route mechanical systems. Structural improvements include the furnishing and installation of a concrete pan stair system. Architectural work includes patching and repair of existing CMU wall penetrations with E.I.F.S and Gypson board, installation of new lighting systems, and installation of a new suspended acoustical ceiling system throughout designated areas. The second-floor area shall receive a floor topcoat application to achieve a smooth, finished surface and shall be built out as conditioned space. Interior improvements also include construction of a new gym area within the existing structure. The facility will remain fully operational during construction. The Contractor shall provide detailed phasing, scheduling, and coordination to minimize disruption to ongoing operations and maintain life safety, access, and cleanliness throughout the project duration. Due to the complexity of overlapping mechanical, structural, and architectural trades, careful coordination will be required. The Contractor shall ensure the engagement of qualified subcontractors and provide comprehensive project management to address potential trade intersections and construction constraints. Last Day for Questions: March 13th by 4:00 PM EST. Questions should be sent via email: cparis@keyesarchitects.com Subject Line: TACK HVAC Renovation Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Goal:5%
