Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Salisbury Beach, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
This project requires MassDOT prequalification to be able to bid. The work involves minor drainage improvements and the installation of cement concrete sidewalks and granite curbing along portions of Meaders Lane and Sandy Lane, totaling approximately 1,100 linear feet. The project also includes installation of a 24-inch drainage outlet pipe, cement concrete sidewalk and granite curb installation, cement concrete pedestrian ramp installation, landscape restoration, reconstruction of driveways to meet new grades, and implementation of safety controls for traffic and pedestrian management. Work scheduling will require coordination with the Salisbury Department of Public Works to accommodate other activities within the project area. Bidders are required to be pre-qualified by MassDOT for Highway Sidewalk and Curbing work to obtain official bid documents. A proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid value must be provided in the specified forms. Performance and payment bonds each for 100% of the contract price will be required. Bid documents are available from the Salisbury Planning Department. Digital copies are available, and paper copies can be requested for a fee, refundable under certain conditions. The Owner reserves the right to waive informality or reject any and all bids. All questions by prospective Bidders as to the interpretation of the Contact Documents shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer and shall be in their possession by 12:00pm, Friday, March 13, 2026, 2026. The participation goals for this project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women.
