Renovation of a residential development in Somerset, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The Town of Somerset Massachusetts is seeking written quotes from qualified and insured contractors for the removal and replacement of flooring at the Somerset Council on Aging Building, located at 115 Wood Street, Somerset MA. Projects over $25,000 require a 50% payment bond under MGL. The selected contractor shall provide all labor materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the following; o Total square footage for this project is 2,387. o Proper removal and lawful disposal of all existing flooring materials. Currently there is a free-floating floor over a tile floor. All materials above the tile floor shall all be removed and disposed of. o Preparation of subfloor and minor repairs if needed. o Furnish and install new floor as follows: o Installation of Luan subfloor. o Installation of Commercial Grade Mannington Floor Planks. Scratch resistant Brushwood Umber o Adhesive V-95 or better to be used. o 400 linear feet of 4-inch Vinyl Covebase. Color to be selected by the Town. o Installation of five 12-foot transition strips. o Protection of adjacent areas during construction. Work shall be completed within 30 days of the contract commencing. Questions may be submitted to the Town, until 10:00am on Monday, March 9th 2026.
