The Town of Somerset MA, School Department (Awarding Authority), is seeking Electronic Bids from qualified General Contractors or Door and Window Contractors for the window replacement project at Chace Elementary School. The Work includes, but is not limited to, removing the specified existing windows, and replacing them with new aluminum frame factory glazed units and all of the necessary Masonry, Carpentry and Painting Work required to complete the project. Bidding procedures and award of Contract are subject to the provisions of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (MGL), as amended, including Chapter 149, 44A to 44M inclusive; and applicable sections of MGL Chapter 30, and the regulations established by the Commissioner of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) Location- 538 Chace Street, Somerset, MA 02726 - Removal and replacement of exterior windows, including hazardous materials abatement. The Work is estimated to cost $ 1,095,000.00 including all Add Alternates. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in bidding or to reject any or all bids, or to accept the bid they deem best for the Town of Somerset. The Town of Somerset reserves the right to award or not award the project. The Town of Somerset is "An Equal Opportunity Employer".
