Demolition and renovation of an educational facility in Mattoon, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of renovating the existing Middle School gymnasium. Work includes selective demolition, asbestos abatement, painting, and replacement of doors and windows. Prevailing wages in accordance with Coles County is required. Bid security is required in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid, as a guarantee that the bid will not be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of opening of bids and that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the awarded work. Both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Payment Bond are required for this project, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Bids must be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for 30 days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the owner. Plans and specifications are available for viewing and purchase online, with fees as noted. All official notifications, addenda, and other bidding documents will be offered only through the specified online plan room. A pre-bid meeting will be held at the job site. All questions to be submitted to A/E by End of Business, Friday, Feb 27, 2026 as per PBMM
