Renovation of an educational facility in Mattoon, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 10,000-square-foot educational facility; and 10,000-square-foot educational facility.

The project consists of removing and replacing approximately 10,000 square feet of an existing EPDM roof membrane over insulation attached to a metal deck. The replacement will be with a new fully adhered EPDM roof membrane, over cover board, over insulation. An alternate bid consists of replacing an additional 10,000 square feet of EPDM roof membrane. Prevailing wage in accordance with Coles County is required. Bid security is required in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid as a guarantee that the bid will not be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of opening of bids, and that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work awarded. Bid security shall be made payable to Mattoon CUSD #2. Bonds required include both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Bids must be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the owner.
