Site work for a water / sewer project in Kingsport, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed bids are invited for the "FY26 Sewer Lining Project". Bidders must be licensed contractors as per the Contractors Licensing Act of 1994 (TCA Title 62, Chapter 6). All bidders are required to submit a bid bond or certified check amounting to 5% of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds covering 100% of the contract price. All bids must be signed, sealed, and addressed to the Procurement Manager and must contain required licensing information on the envelope, including the contractor's license number, expiration date, and relevant classification. Subcontractor license requirements must also be listed if applicable, based on specific value thresholds. If no subcontractors are used, this must be indicated on the envelope. By submitting a bid, bidders certify compliance with Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and associated regulations. Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days after the closing time. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and re-advertise. All Minority and Women-Owned contractors are encouraged to participate.
