The scope of the work required under this contract includes furnishing and paying for all necessary labor, tools, and other items for site improvements consisting of the demolition and reconstruction of approximately 2,100 S.F. of concrete sidewalk at the front of the Government Building, the demolition and reconstruction of concrete stairs, sidewalk, and landing at the back of the Government Building, traffic control, erosion control, and all information within the Plans and Specifications in order to complete the Project and turn it over to the Owner for its beneficial use. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Each bidder must deposit with their bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders and other bidding documents. Any bid received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned to the bidder unopened. Bids will be required to remain open for acceptance or rejection for sixty (60) calendar days after the date of opening bids. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976, ITCA Title 62, Chapter 6. No bid will be opened unless the sealed envelope containing the bid provides the contractor's license number, date of license expiration, and that part of the contractor's classification applying to the bid. In the case of joint ventures, this information must be provided by all parties submitting the bid. No award of any contract will be made to any firm or individual that is currently debarred by the State of Tennessee or the Federal Highway Administration.
