The work consists of providing labor, tools, equipment, materials, permits, taxes, insurance, and other services necessary to provide all operations necessary to complete lawn maintenance services. This includes mowing, edging, killing crack grass, and trimming shrubs and bushes as needed. Contractors submitting bids must possess a business license and insurance. All labor, materials, tools, and equipment (including safety equipment) needed for lawn maintenance must be provided. Lawns must be trimmed, edged, all crack grass killed, and shrubs and bushes trimmed. The contractor is to service lawns weekly or as directed by the Maintenance/Modernization Coordinator. Service hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. All workers must wear name badges, hats, or shirts with the company name or logo. The contractor must contact the Maintenance/Modernization Coordinator by cell phone before coming on site and when leaving, cut all grassed areas between streets and sidewalks as directed, remove all trash before cutting and excess grass trimmings, blow trimmings off all porches and sidewalks, remove all grass in sidewalk cracks and parking lots, edge sidewalks as needed, trim shrubs and bushes as needed, and maintain areas in a trimmed and manicured state. All bid packets must be returned in a sealed envelope marked as specified. JCHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor technicalities and irregularities in the bidding process. All bidders must submit a copy of their business license and proof of insurance.
