Renovation of a military facility in Hastings, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The Contractor shall remove and replace all materials damaged by flooding at the Hastings Resident Office building at Lock and Dam 2, including wall base molding, drywall, wall and above-ceiling insulation consisting of foam, batt, and R-13 and R-19 fiberglass, water vapor barrier, bathroom wall tiles, stained carpet sections, ceiling tiles, and LED light panels. All replacement materials must match undamaged existing materials unless otherwise approved by the Contracting Officer. Additional work includes repairing the burst copper water pipe, reconnecting plumbing fixtures for the kitchenette including the hot water heater, painting new sheetrock and any damaged areas on walls, around floor molding, and along electrical conduit, remounting electrical conduit and fire alarm annunciators, testing the fire alarm system for full functionality, remounting the fire extinguisher, steam cleaning carpet, applying an epoxy floor with non-slip grip in the server room, and conducting air-sampling mold testing before and after repairs. The magnitude of this requirement is under $25,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238310 with a small business size standard of $9 million.
