The work includes, but is not limited to, the full modernization of four (4) existing traction elevators, elevator lobby flooring replacements, exterior storefront, louvers, ceiling repairs, mechanical, electrical, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents, at the State DOA Parking Decks 75 and 76, located at 333 and 415 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27601. Elevator Maintenance: The contract includes full maintenance for the four (4) existing traction elevators starting on the date of mobilization on site and continuing for 12 months after final acceptance of the last elevator. QUESTION DEADLINE: To ensure a fair bidding process, questions and/or clarifications requested by general contractors must be received prior to Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., The work includes, but is not limited to, the modernization of four elevators: two elevators at Parking Deck 75 located at 333 N Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27603 and two elevators at Parking Deck 76 located at 415 N Salisbury St, Raleigh, NC 27603, and other work indicated in the contract documents. Bids will be received for single prime and all proposals shall be lump sum. Bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting and at least one of the scheduled pre-bid site visits to examine the existing elevators, machine rooms, and hoistways. Elevator contractors must sign in at these visits to be eligible to bid. Complete plans, specifications, and contract documents will be open for inspection at specified locations and may be obtained by qualified prime bidders upon deposit. Electronic files of the bid documents are also available free of charge upon request. The bid proposal must include the form Identification of Minority Business Participation and either Affidavit A or B as applicable; failure to complete these forms is grounds for rejection of the bid. All contractors must have the proper license as required under state laws. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cash deposit or certified check amounting to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, or a bid bond for the same amount. A performance bond and a payment bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price are required. Payment will be made based on ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates, with final payment upon completion and acceptance of work. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after the scheduled closing time. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Project Location: a.
