**As of April 21, 2026, this project has been awarded.** SCOPE: Three new shade structures in the quad. DVBE: This bid is NOT subject to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise requirements but always encouraged. Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids. District is required to have 3% percentage each year. Bidder must provide a DVBE prime or subcontractor at 3% or complete the Good Faith Efforts package. All paperwork due at time of bid. Each bid must be submitted with security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, if awarded to the bidder, and will provide the performance and payment bonds, insurance certificates and other documents described in the Contract Documents. Such security must be in one of the following forms: (1) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (2) a certified check made payable to the District; or (3) a bond made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Any bond must have been issued by a Californiaadmitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120 REQUIRED CONTRACTOR LICENSE: The class(es) of California contractor's license(s) required in order to bid on and perform the contract for this Project is: A or B The successful bidder will be required to provide both a performance bond and a separate payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount. The forms of the bonds are set forth in the Contract Documents and all bonds must be issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. The Project is a public work and the successful bidder and each of its subcontractors of any tier will be required to pay not less than the general prevailing rates of perdiem wages in the locality in which the work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract ("Prevailing Wages"). Question Deadline 03/11/2026 This Project Includes the Installation of (3) Pre-check Approved Shade Structures: 1: 2 - Dsa Pc Approved 20'x40' Hip Fabric Shade Structure 2: 1 - Dsa Pc Approved 20'x30' Hip Fabric Shade Structure • • The Work of This Contract Includes Providing All Labor, Materials, Equipment and Services Necessary to, and Construction of Exterior Demolition and Rework of Site Improvements Within the Scope of Work Area, and Associated Site Work for Utilities and Accessibility Improvements. The General Contractor Shall Thoroughly Review the Plans and Specifications Him/herself and With All Trades and Accepts The Materials, Systems, Details, and Assemblies as Being Constructible and Can Be Warranted for a Time Period Consistent With Industry Standards Unless a Specific Time Period is Noted Herein. Contractor Operations Shall Not Block, Hinder, Impede or Otherwise Inhibit the Use of Required Exits at Any Time. Contractor Shall Maintain Unobstructued Access to Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hydrants, Temporary Fire Protection Facilities, Stairways and Other Access Routes for the Firefighting Equipment and or Personnel.
