Site work and paving for a road / highway in Cheswick, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Contract 26-01 2026 Road Improvement Project: Work consists of the milling of existing asphalt, installation of hot mix superpave binder and wearing courses, base repair, backfilling and other miscellaneous work on eleven Township roads totaling approximately 8,510 feet in length and an alternate bid for similar work will also be received for one other Township road totaling approximately 4,800 feet in length. Contract 26-02 2026 Road Improvement Project: Work consists of the application of a double bituminous seal coat on three Township roads having a total length of approximately 17,000 feet. An alternate bid for similar work will also be received for seven other Township alleys having a total length of approximately 3,140 feet. Proposals and Bid Documents can be obtained from Shoup Engineering Inc for a non-refundable fee. Proposals must be submitted upon the original forms furnished by the Township. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates Will Apply. Each Bidder must submit a bid bond or cashier’s check as bid security in the amount of ten percent of the bid amount made payable to the Township. No bids may be withdrawn within sixty days after the date of opening. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid amount, and an 18-month Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will be required. West Deer Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids either in whole or in part, to waive any informalities, and to alter the scope of work.
