Sealed bids are requested for "Liquid Asphalt 2026 Chip Seal Program." All bids must meet or exceed the Kansas Department of Transportation Standard Specification. The price per gallon must include any pump charge and three hours of free unloading time. There shall be no returned freight on any unused material due to a change in weather or equipment failure, and any returned material must be credited. Full transport loads must be ordered and delivered to the job site. Loads arriving more than 15 minutes late at the designated location will be back charged at a specified rate for each additional 15 minutes, unless prior notification is given. Any bid deviating from the stated specifications may not be considered valid. Bidders must use the specified Specification/Proposal Sheet for their submissions. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities or irregularities. bid event notes: Bids for this project will also be received electroni-cally. Electronic bids shall be sent to the Coffey Coun-ty Highway Department at 620-364-8271 or via email at ccengdept@coffeycoun-tyks.org. Electronic bids must be received by March 4, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. at which time the bids will be date stamped and placed in a sealed envelope. The cover sheet for the electronic bid or subject line on an email should be plainly marked with "Liq-uid Asphalt 2026 Chip Seal Program."
