Sealed bids will be received for the 2025 CDBG/MFT Street Resurfacing Project, CDBG Project #2506-013, MFT Section #25-00043-00-RS, REL Project #25-R1003. Instructions to bidders include that bid documents and specifications are available from the Engineer and must be submitted on the provided forms. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash or certified check in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total proposal. The successful bidder will be required to file a performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. Contractors must comply with all applicable federal requirements, including payment of prevailing wages under the Davis-Bacon Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, Copeland "Anti-Kickback Act," Equal Employment Opportunity requirements, registration at SAM.gov with an active Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), the Build America, Buy America Act, and Section 3 hiring and subcontracting obligations. Sufficient insurance or guaranty of indemnity must be provided against claims for damages due to negligence during construction until project acceptance. The right to reject any and all proposals or bids is reserved. Pre-qualification requirements: Illinois Department of Transportation pre-qualifications will be required of all bidders. Prequalifications in accordance with Section 102.01 of the Standard Specifications are required. No proposals will be issued to bidders after 3:00 PM on the day prior to the bid opening.
