Renovation and addition to an educational facility in Joliet, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; and for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the addition and renovation of Thomas Jefferson Elementary School. Requirements for bidders include submission of a Performance and Payment Bond for the full contract amount, a Bid Security of 10% of the Bid, and payment of Prevailing Wage Rates as required by Illinois law. Bids must be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope, and two copies of an AIA 305-Contractors Qualification Statement must be submitted prior to the bid date. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held, and all interested bidders must attend. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive irregularities or informalities, and make the award in the best interest of the District. Bidders must have a written sexual harassment policy in compliance with Illinois law. Bidding documents will be distributed electronically at no charge.
