Dorchester County is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to refurbish the entire splash pad surface (approximately 5900 square feet), including tile removal and concrete reconstruction of the river feature. Splash pad is located at Ashley River Park, the address of which is 200 Renken Road, Summerville, SC 29483. The current surface consists of a yellow-toned concrete with a decorative blue tile river feature embedded through the pad. Contractors are encouraged to visit the site during normal park hours to verify quantities and existing conditions. Contractor must have prior experience installing splash pad or aquatic surface coating systems. Contractor shall examine and thoroughly familiarize himself with all existing conditions including all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations that will affect his work, prior to submitting a bid. It is the responsibility of the contractor to ascertain by any reasonable means all conditions that will in any manner affect his work.
