The purpose is to establish an agreement for the replacement of a damaged patio at the Robert H. Jenkins State Veterans Domiciliary Home in Lake City, FL. The contractor is to provide all labor, services, equipment, tools, materials, parts, and supplies to safely install a new 30' x 60' screened patio and insulated roof with three 42 x 80 heavy duty screen doors, including closers, on the existing concrete slab adjacent to the Dining Room. Proper off-site disposal of all project-related waste is required. The contractor must install a 4 thick structural insulated panel roof with .030 aluminum skin, including fascia, gutters, downspouts, and specified fan beams for ceiling fans. The patio requires a mid-span support beam, at least five 3 x 3 support columns, and specified aluminum framing and bracing. All framing must have aluminum angle bracing with minimum fasteners, base plates attached with wedge anchors, and a 24 high aluminum kick plate at the base of each wall. Doors must be heavy-duty aluminum with closers and latch hardware, and the screening must be heavy-duty fiberglass mesh. All work must be completed within 120 calendar days of contract execution and to the satisfaction of FDVA and applicable authorities. Bidders are instructed to submit all inquiries in writing to the designated contracting administrator or purchasing officer.
