Renovation of a mixed-use development in Norwich, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a two-story above grade office development; and two-story above grade day care center.

As of March 11, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The project involves extensive renovation and conversion of the ground level of the existing building into an early learning center. Various areas of the second level (Commerce Chenango Office) will be renovated to create new office space and a board room. The entire facility will receive updated access control systems and HVAC systems. Hazardous material testing has been completed, and a small area containing hazardous material in the northwest corner of the first floor is scheduled for abatement and is included in the contract. General contract work includes new interior space fitout: partition walls, ceilings, finishes, flooring, casegoods, doors/entrances/glazing; new electrical, data, and HVAC. The building is to remain open at all times, so the contractor must provide dust control where and when necessary and must stage work to avoid interfering with day-to-day operations on the second floor. The work will be bid as four separate prime contracts: General Construction, HVAC Construction, Plumbing Construction, and Electric Construction. The project is subject to MWBE and SDVOB participation goals and prevailing wage rates. 10% retainage will be withheld during construction. Bids must be delivered to the proper person and location by the specified deadline. Bid documents may be obtained electronically. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any informalities in the bidding.
