MCW Custom Energy Solutions is seeking qualified trade contractors to participate in a prequalification process for upcoming formal tender calls covering work at multiple Department of National Defence facilities across Newfoundland and Labrador. Contractors will be prequalified by trade and invited to bid on specific packages as they are issued, with the intent of establishing a bidders list for the life of the project. Work will be released in trade-based packages that include lighting and electrical upgrades, mechanical and HVAC upgrades, and building automation and controls, with detailed scope limits, commissioning expectations, and tender submission instructions provided with each formal tender call. Lighting and electrical upgrades include interior and exterior LED fixture replacements and retrofits, occupancy sensors, and redesigns across various buildings. Mechanical and HVAC upgrades include heating and cooling system improvements, HVAC renewal and optimization, heat recovery, domestic hot water changes, compressed air upgrades, water conservation measures, and specific building utility metering. Building automation and controls work includes BAS upgrades or expansion, retro-commissioning activities, programmable thermostats, selected equipment controls, and utility metering integration where identified. Specific security clearances may be required for certain packages as noted in the procurement notice. The minimum security requirement is Reliability Status, with a limited number of packages requiring Secret clearance.
