The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of removal and replacement of the concrete apron on the south side of 65 Ellen St. in two phases. The major components of the Work are as follows: removal and disposal of 20,000 sq ft of existing pavement; excavation to subgrade; compacting of subgrade is required; placement of geotextile fabric material; addition of 100mm down sub-base material (minimum 13" depth); installation of 3" base course material; installation of 8" reinforced concrete (minimum 32 MPa); protection of the area during construction; grading away from building; Work to be completed in two phases to ensure half the apparatus doors can still be accessed and the parking area is still accessible from one side.
